Biography
Zakhia Abichar is an associate lecturer in the UCF Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He received his bachelor's and doctoral degrees in computer engineering from Iowa State University.
His teaching interest lies in computer engineering curriculum. He has taught classes in the topics of digital systems, computer organization and architecture, embedded systems and introductory programming. Abichar emphasizes how classroom concepts merge and interact in real computer systems. His research interest is in wireless networks and he has worked primarily on the wireless LAN environment and IEEE 802.11 technology.
Abichar is also actively involved in the assessment of the computer engineering curriculum, evaluating select classes, tracking performance and comparing the performance year-over-year, to contribute to internal assessment, regional assessment and national accreditation.
