Biography

Kaitlyn Crawford is an associate professor in the UCF Department of Materials Science and Engineering. She earned her doctoral degree in chemistry from the University of Maryland in 2015, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship in materials science and engineering at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Crawford holds an master's degree in chemistry from North Carolina State University and a bachelor's degree in chemistry and psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Her research focuses on functional soft matter, block- and co-polymers, chemical and biochemical sensors, interfacial interactions, self-assembly, and polymer materials characterization. She is an active member of the Materials Research Society and the American Chemical Society.
