Steve started his career with New York Life Insurance Company in December 1989 in the South Florida General Office. His prior experience was in the automotive industry as the youngest sales manager for The Nissan Corporation. At the age of 25, Steve decided to follow his father’s footsteps and join New York Life. His father, Melvin Kramer, was a successful New York Life agent for 30 years.
After 8 years as an agent in the South Florida General Office, Steve was invited to join the management team as a Partner. Steve won numerous awards during his time as a Partner such as the South Central Zone Recruiting Award in February 2000 and September 2001, The National Sales Managers Grand Slam Recruiting Campaign, the Sales Managers Summit for 1999 and 2000 and the GAMA National Recruiting Award. In September 2001, Steve was promoted to Senior Partner in the South Florida General Office. He was ranked #1 Partner in the Company during this time and also ranked in the top 5 Senior Partners in the Company.
Steve was promoted to Managing Partner of the Milwaukee General Office in November 2004. He grew the Milwaukee Office with manpower growth of 25% per year and won the Whole Life Persistency Trophy in 2005 for the best life persistency in the country. Steve was so successful in growing the Milwaukee Office, he was promoted to the Managing Partner of the Tampa General Office in May 2009. The Tampa office is already growing and hitting new records under Steve’s leadership.
Steve and his wife, Holly, have four children and reside in Palm Harbor, FL.
