Biography

Ranajay Ghosh is an associate professor at the UCF Departmet of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. He is a core faculty member in the Center for Advanced Turbomachinery and Research. His research focusses on architected and bioinspired solids, mechanical metamaterials and multiscale/multiphysics modeling. He earned his doctorate in mechanical and aerospace Engineering from Cornell University and holds a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.

Ghosh earned an NSF CAREER award in 2019 from the mechanics of materials and solids program. He has authored and co-authored more than 50 journal papers, two book chapters and over 10 conference proceedings. His work has featured on the cover of more than six high-impact journals and has been featured in Discovery, Newsweek and the New York Times.
