Biography

Kris Davis is an associate professor in the UCF Department of Materials Science and Engineering. He earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering in 2007, a master's degree in optics and photonics in 2011, and his doctoral degree in optics and photonics in 2015, all from UCF. Davis' research focuses on photovoltaics, optical and electronic materials, metal oxides, thin film deposition, and the characterization of interfaces and films. He also studies manufacturing processes and metrology. Davis is actively involved in professional organizations such as the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, the International Society for Optics and Photonics, and the Materials Research Society. He leads the Data-Enabled Photovoltaics Research Group.
