Biography

Hassan Foroosh is a professor of computer science at the University of Central Florida and director of the Computational Imaging Laboratory. His research focuses on computer vision, image and video processing, machine learning, and multimedia analysis, with applications in video surveillance, facial recognition, emotion analysis, and 3D modeling.


Prior to joining UCF, Foroosh held research positions at the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Maryland. He has contributed to professional activities including serving as an associate editor for academic journals and participating in technical committees for international conferences. His work has been recognized with multiple awards for research excellence and contributions to the field.
