As Production and Ground Operations Manager, Commercial Crew Transportation System, Charles (Chuck) Hardison leads Boeing’s manufacturing, assembly, and test efforts of the CST-100 spacecraft, including the planning for program facilities and operations infrastructure. Hardison ensures that innovations, efficient processes, and capabilities from across the Boeing enterprise are used in the manufacture and processing of space transportation vehicles to support NASA and commercial customers.
A longtime resident of Florida’s Space Coast, he has over 28 years’ experience in the aerospace industry working Space Shuttle solid rocket production engineering, International Space Station development, manufacturing, and test combined with increasing responsibility in program management roles.
Hardison previously held positions as the Director, Mission Management and Operations for Boeing Spacecraft Services at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Site Manager, International Space Station Boeing Prime Contract at KSC, and Senior Manager, International Space Station Truss Assembly. As the Director of Mission Management and Operations, he led a highly skilled organization comprising of project management, multi-disciplined engineering, technician, and administrative personnel in the manufacture and launch processing of space station flight hardware and payload integration activities.
