Bioengineering

The Bioengineering minor is an interdisciplinary program that prepares engineering and computer science students to pursue graduate study and professional careers serving a wide range of the medical arena in research and development. Candidates completing this minor will also satisfy course admissions requirements for the UCF Medical School and other medical schools in the US.

Admission Criteria

Minimum Freshmen Admissions Criteria:

Admission to UCF majoring in Engineering or Computer Science
3.7 un-weighted high school GPA
ACT score of 30 or SAT score of 1300 (without writing component)

Minimum Admissions Criteria for Transfer or Current UCF Students:

Admission to UCF majoring in Engineering or Computer Science
3.0 UCF GPA or cumulative GPA can be substituted for students without a UCF GPA
Grades of B or better in any required courses already taken at time of application
Must be on 2008-2009 catalog (or later) since this minor was is not available in previous years

The Bioengineering Minor admissions committee will meet in the fall and spring semesters to review applications of interested students. Please see the application deadlines below for current and upcoming semesters.
