Welcome to the Biomedical Engineering Society at the University of Central Florida!

The Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) at UCF serves as the lead society and professional home for biomedical engineering at the University of Central Florida. We are committed to connecting cross-discipline students with biomedical engineering by providing opportunities in academics, professional development, volunteering, and team building. Our initiatives serve as valuable resources for students interested in BME and promote the advancement of human health and well-being.

Mission & Vision

To build and support the biomedical engineering community locally, nationally and internationally, with activities designed to communicate recent advances, discoveries, and inventions; promote education and professional development; and integrate the perspectives of the academic, medical, governmental, and business sectors.

To serve as the world’s leading society of professionals devoted to developing and using engineering and technology to advance human health and well-being. Here you will be able to find like-minded peers, explore avenues of Biomedical Engineering and gain hands-on experience!
