UCF Graduate Engineering Programs Climb 13 Spots in U.S. News Rankings

U.S. News and World Report released its rankings for the top online programs of 2025, and UCF jumped 13 spots on the list of Best Online Master’s in Engineering Programs. UCF moved from No. 52 to No. 39, tying with universities such as Washington State University, Louisiana State University – Baton Rouge, and Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University/Florida State University.

UCF also moved up in the rankings for Best Online Master’s in Engineering Programs for Veterans. The university landed at No. 26, six spots higher than the previous year. UCF also tied with FAMU/FSU as well as Oregon State University.
The university also has a strong reputation in computer science, as evidenced through its strong programming team and recent breakthroughs in research. It’s no surprise that this year, UCF’s ranking for the Best Online Master’s in Information Technology moved up six spots to No. 17, tied with the University of California – Riverside. Within the state, UCF ranks No. 2 in this category.
