Rapid prototyping is faster and easier than ever at UCF in this lab complex in the Engineering II Atrium. Opened in fall 2014, these Maker Spaces are strategically designed to turn creative ideas into marketable innovations, and available to all UCF students.

Harris Corporation Gathering Lab
Meet with teammates and discuss projects in this space equipped with 12 round 60” whiteboard tables designed by UCF faculty.

SARC@CECS offers free small group peer tutoring to students enrolled in undergraduate courses such as Introduction to C Programming, Object Oriented Program, Computer Science I, Introduction to Discrete Structures, Solid Mechanics, Statics, Dynamics, Thermodynamics, Principles of Electrical Engineering (and Electrical Networks), Physics for Engineers I & II, and other courses. The courses supported in the tutoring center can vary from term to term, depending on the availability of trained tutors. The center is staffed by advanced students with exceptional academic records who have been trained for this role by the Student Academic Resource Center (SARC).

Peer tutoring sessions are hosted in-person and online through Zoom during the hours of Monday – Thursday 9:00 am – 7:00 pm and Friday 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.

Students interested in attending a small group peer tutoring session are encouraged to consult the schedule to determine when tutors for their courses are expected to be available. Group tutoring is on a drop-in basis and no appointment is necessary.
