Vlad Ivashyn is a senior lecturer in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UCF. He joined UCF in 2022, and is a faculty advisor for the Senior Design capstone program for mechanical and aerospace engineering students. He received his doctoral degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Limerick in Ireland. His master’s and bachelor’s Degrees are also in mechanical engineering. Prior to joining UCF, he spent 14 years in academia working for various universities in the United States and the Republic of Ireland to include Pennsylvania State, Temple, Greenville, Limerick and Santa Clara Universities. He also held various engineering positions, while working in industry for nearly nine years.
