Biography
Samar Younes joined the UCF Department of Civil, Environmental and Construction Engineering as a lecturer in 2022. She holds a master’s degree in civil engineering with a focus on soil erosion in geotechnical systems (sinkholes, earth dams). She also holds a doctoral degree in civil engineering with a research focus on truck re-routing simulation under incident-induced congestion. Both her master’s and doctoral degrees were earned from UCF. Her teaching interests include courses such as construction methods, engineering economics and construction estimating and scheduling. Her research interests include the application of artificial intelligence technology in higher education.
