Biography

Adan Vela is an associate professor in the UCF Department of Industrial Engineering and Management Systems. His primary research interest involves human-in-the-loop control and decision systems. Vela has worked on projects involving modeling, simulation, and analysis of air transportation systems. His research efforts include include coupled pilot-control-aircraft models; aircraft blunder and anomaly detection systems; next-generation collision avoidance systems; safety analysis of NextGen concepts; and agent-based simulations of air transportation systems.
