Biography

Dr. Abusoua earned his undergraduate degree in mechanical and industrial Engineering from Tripoli University-Libya in 1999. He obtained his master's and doctoral degrees from Clemson University in 2011 and 2018, respectively.

During his graduate studies, Abusoua focused on nonlinear dynamics, vibrations and controls, primarily improving energy harvester designs to operate across a wide range of excitation frequencies. After completing his Ph.D., he pursued a postdoctoral research position at the University of Texas at Arlington, where he advanced his expertise in sensor technology. His research centered on optimizing ultrasound transducer design to detect and monitor sensitization corrosion in structures.
