Catherine Felter graduated from UCF in 2015 with a degree in civil engineering. From beginning her career as an intern at a small Maitland-based firm, she now stands as an integral part of the nationally acclaimed Kimley-Horn team in Orlando.
Catherine currently serves as a project manager within the land development group where she is leaving an indelible mark on the landscape of site civil design for commercial, multi-family residential, and industrial developments. Catherine’s expertise in the Land Development group has paved the way for her to cultivate clients and teams, contributing significantly to the growth of her practice. Her profound understanding of site grading, design, stormwater management, and the intricate world of permitting and development hearings has consistently delivered projects on time and within budget. This has positioned Catherine as an unparalleled asset, ensuring projects not only meet regulatory standards but also thrive within the broader community.
Catherine’s influence extends beyond her professional achievements to active participation within the local chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). Her dedication to mentorship and development dates back to 2015, as Catherine has consistently assumed pivotal leadership roles within the chapter. From 2020 to 2022, Catherine served as President of the ASCE East Central Branch Younger Member Forum (YMF). A testament to her ability to galvanize young engineers and foster an environment of growth and collaboration, is demonstrated through her leadership within ASCE’s YMF and the range of activities she initiated. With her community involvement and client relationships over the last five years she has raised over $100,000 to support local educational outreach and scholarships for STEM education. Catherine continues to champion causes like Odyssey of the Mind, embracing the role of judge and coach to inspire young minds in creative problem-solving. Her unwavering commitment and fervent passion for community engagement, enables her to unravel the complexities of engineering and foster a nurturing environment for the minds that shape our future.
