Traditional circuit breakers are designed to protect electrical circuits from faults such as overloads and short circuits, but they typically provide no remote monitoring or control capabilities. This project, Smart Circuit Breaker SABRE, aims to enhance the functionality of conventional circuit breakers by integrating real-time monitoring and remote operation features. SABRE allows users to monitor key electrical parameters such as current and system status while also enabling remote control of the breaker through a digital interface. By combining sensing, embedded control, and communication technologies, the system provides improved visibility and management of electrical circuits. This device is intended for applications in residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems where improved safety, monitoring, and control are valuable. Utility companies, facility managers, and homeowners could benefit from the ability to detect abnormal conditions and respond quickly without needing physical access to the breaker panel. Unlike traditional breakers, SABRE introduces smart functionality that can help prevent equipment damage, reduce downtime, and improve operational awareness. Potential applications include smart buildings, energy management systems, and modern power distribution networks. By modernizing a fundamental protection device, SABRE contributes to the ongoing transformation of electrical infrastructure toward smarter and more reliable power systems.Team
