The Electromagnetic Warfare Virtual Training Environment (EWVTE) is a VR/AR tabletop style application, sponsored by ZuLeris Interactive. The problem is that top brass in the Department of Defense (e.g., U.S. Military Commanders) receive debriefs on their personnel’s spectrum intelligence training, but they’re difficult to fully comprehend through traditional verbal/written reports without already being an expert in the field. As a result, this can greatly inhibit future training progress, mission planning, and overall electromagnetic warfare awareness. Our project aims to provide an immersive platform for signal interference analysis, and electromagnetic spectrum visualization, and assist in commander mission planning and observation. Users will be able to spatially navigate an electromagnetic spectrum environment in VR/AR. As such, we hope to help them better understand the objectives their personnel are being trained in, through VR interactable objects and vastly improved visuals, rather than confusing reports, charts, and diagrams.
