PwnBoxer is an automated network auditing device designed to make security testing accessible to small businesses and residential users, as testing is cost-prohibitive. Traditional penetration testing is expensive, time-intensive, and largely out of reach for anyone outside of enterprise organizations. Small businesses and homeowners are left without meaningful security assessments, often unaware of the vulnerabilities sitting on their own networks. PwnBoxer solves this by combining defensive and offensive security capabilities into a single automated device that can be deployed on hardware. It scans the network, identifies exposed services and vulnerable software, and produces a plain-language security report with suggested remediations. What sets PwnBoxer apart is its audience. Existing solutions in this space are built for trained security professionals and assume deep technical knowledge. PwnBoxer is designed with the end consumer as the primary user, while simultaneously supporting experienced operators and managed service providers through a custom scripting interface and remote assistance capability. As cyber threats increasingly target small businesses and individuals, the ability to proactively identify and address vulnerabilities should not be a privilege reserved for large organizations. PwnBoxer closes that gap by providing security awareness and actionable risk insight available to everyone.Team
