This VR application, developed under the sponsorship of Melissa Cowan at the UCF College of Medicine, is an immersive educational tool aimed to help first year medical students practice reading and interpreting CT scans. Designed to be used on Meta Quest 2 and 3 headsets and build with resources from OpenXR to allow for potential expansion into other VR tools, the application simulates a clinical imaging suite where students can explore both normal and abnormal CT scans, identify anatomical structures, and recognize medical implantable devices such as pacemakers, stents, and joint replacements. The key features of this VR application include: - Interactive 3D models of organs and anatomical structures. - Voice narration and diagrams to support multimodal learning. - Practice quizzes with multiple-choice and drag and drop questions. - A virtual ruler for measuring structures within scans. - Accessibility-focused design to ensure usability for diverse learners. The application provides a self-paced environment that mimics real-world learning settings, allowing students to build confidence and reduce diagnostic errors. It also serves as a proof-of-concept for broader VR integration into medical education and goes along with Ms. Cowan's other VR educational applications.Team
