Dr. Isaac Boxx
Dr. Boxx is a senior scientist at the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Stuttgart. Before joining at DLR, Dr. Boxx completed his PhD at the University of Texas at Austin and was a researcher at the Air Force Research Laboratory. His work focuses on turbulent combustion, utilizing high-speed laser diagnostics such as particle image velocimetry and planar laser-induced fluorescence. The study of turbulent flame structure and dynamics at engine-relevant conditions is necessary to gain knowledge of combustor operation and instabilities such as flashback and blow-off.
