Dr Clemens Naumann
Dr. Clemens Naumann is a physicist and senior research scientist at the Institute of Combustion Technology of the German Aerospace Center (DLR) in Stuttgart, Germany. He joined the High Temperature Kinetics Group in 1992 with the focus on the investigation of the kinetics of elementary reactions using shock waves in combination with atomic or molecular spectrometry. Today his group is operating several shock tubes and laminar flame burners measuring characteristic combustion properties at technical relevant conditions for a variety of fuels used in space, aeronautics, energy, and transport applications for the validation of chemical reaction mechanism. Together with his colleague, Dr. Marina Braun-Unkhoff, he supervised several students from Dr. Vasu’s group at UCF in Orlando within the IRES-programme.
