May 5, 2020 — Hassan Foroosh and Pamela Wisniewski received UCF’s Teaching Incentive Program (TIP) and Research Incentive Award (RIA) awards.
April 21, 2020 — Mubarak Shah was named an AI 2020 most influential scholar for his “outstanding technical achievements with lasting contribution and impact.” This recognizes Dr. Shah as being one of the top 10 most-cited scholars in the top venues for computer vision.
March 27, 2020 — Dazhong Wu, assistant professor, Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, received the 2019 Best Paper Award from the Journal of Manufacturing Systems.

January 9, 2020 — Carolina Cruz-Neira, Agere Chair in the UCF Department of Computer Science, was named a fellow of the IEEE for contributions to virtual reality. This prestigious honor is limited to at most 1% of the total IEEE voting members.
