Mission

The Mission of the CECS Research Office is to facilitate research activities in support of the vision and mission of the College. The College is committed to supporting the goal of the University to achieve international prominence in key research areas and to establish UCF as a major metropolitan research university.

The Research Office provides support in the preparation of proposals and assists in identifying research opportunities for the CECS faculty. Dr. Debra Reinhart serves as the CECS Associate Dean of Research. The office is staffed by Kerry Gajewski, Director of Budget and Administration and supported by Ms. Lisa Filzer both located in room 202 of Engineering II. Ms. Theresa Collins serves as the grant administrator for the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (SEECS) located in the Computer Science building.

This website for the Research Office provides guidelines for the preparation of proposals intended for both external and internal sources, as well as procedures for overhead expenditures and considerations pertaining to patents and copyrights. The UCF Office of Research is also a valuable resource for proposal preparation.
