1. Standard Policy for Matching Funds for Federal Agencies.

Intent:

The fund is available to provide matching support to enhance the competitiveness of proposals submitted to Federal Agencies that will undergo a competitive review and selection process. 

Eligibility:

Proposals submitted to Federal Agencies for competitive review. 

Local Federal agencies that provide ongoing support would not be eligible.

Funding available

The maximum funding available from the Office of Research is 12 percent of the total F&A (indirect) cost collectable from the project.

This must be cash matched one to one by the College and / or Department.

2. Policy for Agency required match above standard policy

Must show proof of required match (agency guidelines)

Must provide evidence of a minimum of one to one cash match (no in-kind) by College and / or Department

Requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the Office of Research.  Request over $50,000 will require additional approval by the Vice President for Research.  Approval will be contingent on the availability of funds.

If approved, the Office of Research will provide a maximum of 50% of the required match.
