UCF Hosts Smart City Hackathon

The University of Central Florida hosted the “Smartest City Challenge” to support the City of Orlando’s Smart City initiative from August 26 – 27. Students, entrepreneurs, developers and stakeholders from all around Orlando spent a weekend working together to solve pressing problems and create innovative solutions to that have the potential to make a difference in our community and the city of Orlando.

Teams were joined by mentors who were present over the course of the weekend. Judges included Executives and Directors from UCF, Pandera, City of Orlando, MicroStrategy and Zero Chaos. The groups will be judged on innovation, feasibility, and viability of solution in connection with the City of Orlando’s Smart City initiatives and future roadmap.
