Advising
Students can choose from: CECS Academic Affairs Office, the department advisors, and faculty advisors. The CECS Academic Affairs Office handles general academic advising as well as advising on UCF policies and procedures. While the departments and faculty members offer advising on career and research fields that are particular to their areas of study.

| CECS Academic Assistance Sessions |
| The academic assistance sessions is to aid in the success and retention of CECS students. Workshops are offered during the fall and spring semesters. |
| The Fall semester workshop provides information regarding academic and transition issues for first semester freshmen, sophomores, and transfer students. |
| The Spring workshops are for all CECS students and serve as general advising sessions to inform students of academic and college resources for the next registration cycle. |
